7th graders field trip.

On Monday, September 10th, The 7th graders in KIS went on a field trip for tradition & change, and comparing beach debris for school classes. They went to 2 beaches; Iho and Hamo. They compared beach debris, temperatures, waves, and tides between those beaches, and played in the water with friends. They ate sandwiches and wedge potatoes for their lunch in Iho beach too. Next, they went to Jeju folk museum, and they did their assigned homework. 7th graders had a great time there.
KIS students clean the Jeju island.
Jeju island was pretty messed up with trash or some sticks influenced by the typhoon ‘Volaben’. Elementary school picked up the trash in Global Education City, and middle school students went to beaches and cleaned there. In addition, they had to walk for a long time too. Students were tired, but they were pleased about doing it.
Typhoon ‘Sanba’ is coming.

Typhoon hit Jeju island again! It is named ‘Karen’, or ‘Sanba’. It has came since the Sunday night or evening, and the school canceled the class on Monday. It is very windy, even we open our window only little bit. Also, the wind was very strong and blowing horizontally. However, they had another big typhoon once, so KIS prepared for the typhoon very well.
A3 dorm had the surprise birthday party for their boarding specialist teacher.

On Friday, A-3 dormitory students prepared for Mrs. Moore’s birthday, which was on Saturday. They secretly made cards and cake. Every girls participated on making the cake, dividing groups by baking the bread, making the cream, and decorating the cakes. On Saturday, after watching documentary, we celebrated Mrs. Moore’s birthday, and ate the cake. It was really delicious!
Advisory groups are working on their bulletin board.
Students are decorating their bulletin boards with their advisory group. Their theme is ‘Service Leading’. The theme of decorating bulletin board about the cultures of the country where they are going in March. Some advisory groups pasted the pictures of the country, or other groups drew the flag and people who are working on service leading. KIS became wonderful, and showed the creativity by working them.
